About this fish
This is a golden xanthic form of the common severum found in South America. They are pair-bonding and care-giving spawners that require a large aquarium with good filtration as they are voracious eaters that will grow to 10 to 12 inches. While some cichlids come in and out of their coloration during periods of spawning activity, this fish maintains it's beautiful golden yellow color all the time.
